Once again, another fantastic weekend at the Austin City Limits Festival.
Friday: Mates of State, Robert Earl Keen, Thievery Corporation, Allman Brothers, and Black Crowes
Saturday: Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Jet, and Oasis
Sunday: Bob Mould Band, Wilco, and Tortoise
Didn't actually watch Mates of State or Wilco. Listened to their sets while waiting for other bands to go on.
Highlights were definately Thievery Corporation, Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, and Tortoise
Tortoise's set was fucking amazing. Dumbasses kept leaving to go watch Coldplay. What the hell? I'd watch Tortoise anyday over Coldplay.
Would have liked to watch Built to Splill, Death Cab For Cutie, Wayne "The Train" Hancock, and Steve Earle. Wayne Hancock and Steve Earle both played early in the day and I got there too late to see them. Built to Spill and Death Cab both played at the same time as other people/bands I wanted to see and I've seen them both before. Built to Spill played at the same time as Buddy Guy, and Death Cab played at the same time as Robert Randolph.
All in all a great weekend of getting fucked up and listening to good live music.
